Ok, so the consultation with Dr. Snodgrass this morning has me feeling like I am on cloud nine! I am definitely a strong candidate and I had pictures taken, and most of the pre-work done so they are going to send off my information to the insurance company for approval. She said that my specific insurance company is very easy to deal with and I should hear in no more than 2 WEEKS!!! For a girl that's been waiting 10 years two weeks is nothing!!!!!!
So the appt itself went like the following
1. General history of health, questions about what issues I have with my breasts today, etc.
2. Then came the examination this includes her looking and feeling the breasts as well as lots of pictures
3. Checked for curvature of the spine (yep my spine is curved)
4. Then I got dressed and she talked about the reduction process, costs, how large my chest would be afterwards, recovery, etc. You name it we talked about it!
So... After I get the approval they are scheduling surgeries in August of this year and I will be able to say that I am 4 sizes smaller in the chest... So what that equates to is going from a 42 H to a 42DD, any less she said would be too dangerous to remove. I know Brian was super excited to hear that I would still be a DD... ;_)
Needless to say I am elated and now the next two weeks will be excruciatingly painful to wait, but hey I waited 10 years for this I think I can wait a little longer!

Since you have been very honest and frank about this can I ask where do you get a bra size 42H. Just wondering. I where a 38D OR DD when pregnant and have a hard time finding them sometimes, so i can only imagine.
ReplyDeleteA specialty store. They cost about $80 to $90 a bra... It's very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteWow that would be frustrating because it was very frustrating for me to find ones and that was only while I was pregnant. I am very excited for you - I have heard very good things from friends that have had this surgery. Good luck!
